Mr. Aziz Memon
Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr Aziz Memon is also the Chairman of the Board of Medco's parent company, the Kings Group. A closely held, $120 million diversified conglomerate, the Group has interests in commodities trading, construction, farming, manufacturing, oil, retail, textile, travel & leisure and water purification. The Kings Apparel Industries, another of the Group's subsidiaries, is Pakistan's largest exporter of knitted textile garments, whose major clients include Walmart, Target, JC Penney, Nike and Sears.
A well respected business and civic leader, Mr. Memom serves on the board of various organizations, including as Chairman of Karachi Garment City, Secretary General of Pakistan-Italy Business Forum, President of Pakistan-Japan Business Forum and as a member of the Board of Governors of Higher Education Support Organization.
Previously, Mr. Memon has served as Chairman of Pakistan-USA Trade and Industry Commission, The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Citizen-Police Liaison Committee, the Pakistan Knitwear Exporters Association and the Textile Quota Supervisory Council.
Mr. Memon has represented Pakistan at numerous International Conferences and Seminars, including the United Nations ESCAP Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2006 held at Jakarta, Indonesia in April 2006; accompanied Prime Minister Mr. Shoukat Aziz to Turkey and Lebanon in May 2005; at the ITC Executive Forum held in Montreux, Switzerland in 2004; the 2003 WTO 5th Ministerial Meeting in Cancun, Mexico; accompanied President Musharraf to the joint meeting on Investment Promotion in Tokyo, Japan in March, 2002 and at the ILO Symposium on the Social and Labour Consequences of Technological Developments held at Geneva in September 1999.
As a distinguished business leader, Mr. Memon has been extensively quoted in numerous international publications, including a recent in-depth profile of him in Forbes Magazine.

Mr. Karim Pirani
Co-Founder, President and Member Board of Directors
As MEDCO's President and Executive Incharge of its international business development, Mr. Karim Pirani brings a wealth of experience to the company. From 1988 to 1994, Mr.
Pirani was the Creative Director and Chief Copy Writer of Atlantis Advertising, a New York City based advertising and marketing company which specialized in creating print advertising for companies on New York's Seventh Avenue. Also in 1994, at the dawn of the Internet age, Mr. Pirani founded one of the earliest internet based online shopping portals, Cyberspaced.com.
Between 1997 and 2001, Mr. Pirani ran a Cayman Island based boutique investment hedge fund. As managing general partner of Synergic Investment Management (SIM), Mr. Pirani delivered an enviable rate of return for investors in this limited partnership fund. SIM was an early investor in then obscure companies like Amazon, America Online and eBay which all went on to become household names of today.
Currently, Mr. Pirani is actively involved in developing various businesses in Pakistan's many high growth sectors including affordable housing, alternative fuels and petroleum, power generation, retail, etc. Through Medco, he has been at the forefront in promoting to the international biotech and pharmaceutical companies, the quality of Pakistan's healthcare infrastructure and the depth of its brain trust. With the active help and support of the Pakistani Government, Mr. Pirani has been the driving force in organizing the “First International Symposium on Pakistan’s Clinical Research Program” in Islamabad in the first week of September 2007 to help highlight the country as a logical choice for foreign biotech companies to outsource their clinical trial programs. Also, through another one of his companies, Pure Aqua Water Filtration, Mr. Pirani is again closely working with the Pakistani Government in the setting up of an extensive, country-wide water purification system that will run on wind and solar power to help reduce global warming by curbing the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

Major General (rtd) M. Aslam
C.E.O and Member Board of Directors

A former Director General of Health, Government of Pakistan, Major General
Dr. Muhammad Aslam HI (M) (Retired) is one of Pakistan’s most distinguished personalities in the field of healthcare.
As Pakistan’s Director General of Health, a post that he held from October 2000 till August 2004, General Aslam (Rtd) was responsible for the planning and implementation of the country’s health care policy, including the standardization and manufacture of both biological and pharmaceutical products and the administration of the healthcare services to over one million employees of the Federal Government of Pakistan, etc. Also as Director General, he chaired the country’s Central Licensing and Registration Board for pharmaceutical drugs and medical equipment. He was also responsible for the control and eradication of infectious and contagious diseases, and all the eight national programmes of health, implemented by the provinces.
Previously from 1995-2000 as the Director General, Medical Services of Pakistan Navy Gen. Aslam (Rtd) was the Advisor to the Chief of the Naval Staff on all matters related to Health at the Pakistan Navy. He was also in charge of planning for the health care services of the Naval Staff, supervised the delivery of curative, preventive and other health care services for the Navy personnel and the preparation of the Navy’s Emergency plans. Prior to that, from 1993-1995, Gen. Aslam (Rtd) was the Commandant of
PNS Shifa, the Pakistani Armed Forces flagship 600 bedded tertiary care hospital in Karachi. As the head of this prestigious institution, Gen. Aslam (Rtd) was responsible for the overall planning, execution and the monitoring of the Hospital’s health care and training systems.
General Aslam (Rtd) has also served as a member of the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Health in Islamabad, the Bolan Medical College Complex in Quetta, the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Karachi. He has also previously been a member of the Board of Directors of Sindh Health Foundation, a member of the Federal Committee for the purchase of materials for the Fatimid Foundation, a member of the National Committee on Pakistan Nutrition Project (assisted by the World Bank) and has been a distinguished member of the Board of Trustees of Aga Khan University in Karachi.
General Aslam (Rtd) has represented Pakistan at over 20 International Conferences including those held in the United States, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Malaysia, China, Egypt, Lebanon, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Senegal.
For his meritorious service(s) to the nation, the President of Pakistan in the year 2000, awarded Major General Muhammad Aslam one of the nation’s highest military honors, the medal of Hilal-e-Imtiaz.

Mr. Hamid Daudani
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hamid Daudani has served as Medco’s Chief Financial Officer since the company’s founding. Mr. Daudani came on board to take charge of MEDCO's strategic planning, business planning and budgeting, development of policies and procedures, monitoring of capital expenditures, cost controls, acquisition and expansion activities and other related functions.
Mr. Daudani has over 40 years of financial, management and administration experience with companies involved in a variety of business activities ranging from manufacturing and distribution as well as wholesale and retail of consumer and industrial products. He has served as Vice President and CFO of various companies involved in manufacturing, distribution, retail and wholesale of consumer and industrial products both in the United States and Canada.
From 1992-2005, Mr. Daudani served as Vice President of Finance and CFO of Dixieline Lumber Company, where he oversaw the growth of the company from a local San Diego chain doing a little under $100 million annually to generating close to $400 million annually across the state of California, Arizona and Nevada at the time of his retirement. From 1990-1992 Mr. Daudani served as Executive Vice President of Finance and CFO of Stoorza, Ziegus & Metzger Inc., a San Diego, CA based public relations and advertising company. He was the Vice President of Finance and CFO of Frazee Industries of San Diego, Ca from 1983-1989, the Chief Financial Officer of San Diego based Intermark Inc., a consumer products and printing company from 1981-1983 and from 1979-1981, Mr. Daudani served as Controller of Beatrice Food Company’s subsidiary in San Diego, California.
Mr. Daudani holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) degree from McGill University of Montreal, Canada.

Ms. Naheed Memon
Director Operations
As MEDCO’s Director of Operations, Ms. Naheed Memon’s depth of experience is going to be vital in developing the company’s business in Pakistan.
Currently Ms. Memon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Kings Group and as Executive Vice President she oversees the development and expansion of the Group’s various business units. Additionally, Ms. Memon also serves as the Managing Director of two of the Group’s divisions, the Travel & Leisure Division and the Retail Division.
Between 1998-2004, Ms. Memon ran a business consultancy firm in London, England. The firm specialized in developing Information Systems projects for its clients who included numerous Small and Medium Enterprises or SMEs and also many Public Sector Organizations (PSOs). Previously, Ms. Memon worked at Merrill Lynch, London as a Private Banker for its high net worth clients.
Ms. Memon earned a Msc in Economics from University of London’s Birkbeck College and also an MBA from Imperial College, London. She has also taught courses on business, finance and economics at various universities both in Pakistan and England.
Ms. Memon is actively involved in various social and philanthropic organizations in Pakistan.
